Recurring EntriesPro
Automate time entries for regular activities like standups or weekly meetings.
Overview
Recurring entries automatically create time entries on a schedule. This is useful for regular activities like daily standups, weekly meetings, or routine tasks that happen at the same time each day or week.
Pro Feature
Recurring entries require a Pro or Team subscription. You'll see a "Pro" badge on the recurring sections if you're on the Free plan.

Weekly Team Meeting
1 hour every Monday at 2:00 PM
Monthly 1:1
30 minutes on the first Tuesday of each month
Email Processing

How Entries Are Created
Recurring entries are created automatically based on your schedule:
- Entries are created at the scheduled start time
- Each entry has the specified duration, topic, and notes
- Entries appear on your calendar and in reports
- You can edit or delete individual entries without affecting the schedule
Note
Recurring entries are created as regular time entries. Once created, they behave exactly like manually entered time. Editing one entry doesn't affect future entries.
Managing Recurring Schedules
To modify or stop a recurring entry:
- 1Go to Timer Settings → Recurring
- 2Find the recurring entry in the list
- 3Click Edit to modify the schedule
- 4Or click Delete to stop future entries
Tip
Deleting a recurring schedule doesn't delete past entries that were already created. Those remain in your history.
Skip or Modify Individual Occurrences
Sometimes a recurring event doesn't happen or runs longer than usual:
- Skip — Delete the individual entry from your calendar. The schedule continues normally for future dates.
- Modify — Edit the entry to adjust duration, notes, or time. The change only affects that specific entry.
Recurring vs Timer
Choose the right approach for different situations:
| Use Recurring When | Use Timer When |
|---|---|
| Same time every day/week | Variable start times |
| Fixed duration events | Unknown duration |
| Calendar-scheduled meetings | Ad-hoc work sessions |
| Easy to forget to track | Natural to start/stop |
