Overview

Good organization makes time tracking faster and reporting more useful. TeeckIn uses a hierarchy of categories, topics, and clients to structure your work.

The Hierarchy

Organization (workspace)
└─ Category (grouping)
└─ Topic (trackable item)
└─ Time entries, hourly rate, billable status

Organization

Your workspace. Most users have one personal organization. Teams can create shared organizations where multiple people track time together.

Category

A high-level grouping with a color. Use categories for clients, departments, or work types. Categories help organize the sidebar and color-code the calendar.

Topic

The actual project or task you track time against. Topics have hourly rates, billable status, and can be linked to clients for invoicing.

Client

Optional customer information for invoicing. Link clients to topics to auto-fill invoice recipient details.
