Navigate TeeckIn quickly with keyboard shortcuts.
Overview
Keyboard shortcuts let you control TeeckIn without reaching for your mouse. Learning a few key shortcuts can significantly speed up your workflow, especially for starting timers and navigating between pages.

Timer Shortcuts
Control your timers without leaving the keyboard.

Command Palette
The command palette is the fastest way to do anything in TeeckIn.

Once open, type to search for topics, pages, or actions. Use arrow keys to navigate and Enter to select.
Billing entity Shortcuts
Quickly switch between billing entities if you belong to multiple.

| Cmd+1 | Switch to billing entity 1 |
| Cmd+2 | Switch to billing entity 2 |
| Cmd+3...9 | Switch to billing entities 3-9 |
Billing entities are numbered in the order they appear in your billing entity switcher. Personal billing entity is typically slot 1.
Calendar Shortcuts
Navigate the calendar view efficiently.

Tips for Learning Shortcuts
Start with Three
Learn Cmd+K (command palette), Space (toggle timer), and Alt+1 (quick start). These cover 80% of common actions.
Use the Help Overlay
Press ? anytime to see available shortcuts. Keep this open while learning.
Practice Go-To Navigation
The G then letter pattern is easy to remember: G for "go", then the first letter of the destination (T for Timer, C for Calendar, etc.).
Shortcuts Not Working?
If shortcuts are not responding, check these common issues:
- Focus is in a text field - Shortcuts are disabled when typing in inputs. Click outside the field or press Esc first.
- Dialog is open - Some shortcuts are disabled when modals are open. Close the dialog first.
- Browser extension conflict - Some extensions capture keyboard shortcuts. Try disabling extensions to identify conflicts.
- Wrong modifier key - Mac uses Cmd, Windows/Linux use Ctrl.
